This week, we’re focusing on finding inspiration in everyday life. The world around you is full of creative potential—let’s explore how to tap into it!

Inspiration doesn’t always come from extraordinary events; often, it’s hidden in the mundane aspects of daily life. Cultivate a habit of observing and appreciating the small details around you. Keep an open mind and let the ordinary inspire you.

Inspiration Corner: I’ve found some of the best ideas on my property without having to leave. Sometimes, its the deer walking through my yard or the mushrooms growing after some rain. And even when I do leave my house, driving down the highway or a song can inspire me to create a new series. Embracing the beauty and complexity of everyday life has been a constant source of inspiration for my work.

Creative Challenge: Document everyday inspirations. Here’s how:

• Carry a Notebook: Keep a small notebook or use a notes app on your phone to jot down anything that catches your eye or sparks a thought.
• Take Photos: Capture interesting scenes, textures, and moments with your camera or smartphone.
• Reflect Daily: Spend a few minutes each day reviewing your notes and photos, and see how they can be integrated into your creative projects.
• Create: Use these every day observations as starting points for new work, whether it’s a sketch, a story, a poem, or another creative project.
