Hey there,

This week, we’re diving into the world of new creative mediums. Trying something different can reignite your passion and lead to unexpected discoveries.

Experimenting with different mediums can bring fresh perspectives and ideas to your work. Whether it’s a new type of paint, a different writing style, or a new craft, stepping out of your comfort zone can lead to creative breakthroughs.

Inspiration Corner: I started my creative journey with crochet many, many years ago before landing on pyrography. Over the years, I have played with polymer clay, made bead jewelry and macrame plant hangers, painting and graphics illustrations to be used with my laser. And since I fall into the neurodivergent group of people, I have been obsessed with one technique or another until either I master it or I get bored with it. But even with all that, it helps me with my not just with inspiration but also growth on a personal level.

Creative Challenge: Try working with a medium you haven’t used before. Here’s how:

• Choose a Medium: Pick a medium you’ve always been curious about (e.g., watercolor, clay, digital art, fabric).
• Gather Supplies: Obtain the necessary materials and tools.
• Learn the Basics: Watch tutorials, read guides, or take a beginner’s class.
• Create: Start a small project using this new medium and see where it takes you.

Resource Recommendation: Explore tutorials and courses on platforms like Skillshare, YouTube, or Udemy. These platforms offer a wide range of classes for beginners in various mediums. Additionally, books like "Creative Block" by Danielle Krysa provide tips and inspiration for trying new artistic techniques and overcoming creative blocks.
