Hey there hi! I hope you’re embracing imperfection and making great progress with your creative projects. This week, we’re focusing on capturing your ideas in a sketchbook or journal. Actionable Tip: Use a sketchbook or journal to capture ideas. Keeping a sketchbook or journal handy allows you to jot down ideas, sketches, and thoughts as they come to you. This habit ensures you never lose a spark of inspiration and provides a record of your creative journey. Inspiration Corner: I used to always carry a journal with me but since have switched to using the notes or voice feature on my phone to record my thoughts. And no matter the method it has become an invaluable part of my creative process. Whenever I see something inspiring or have a sudden idea, I quickly make a note of it. I used to joke about having wires connected to my thoughts so they could capture what was happening. I may never get to share some of those ideas and thoughts but being able to look back at what inspired me allows me to see my creative growth. It’s one of my favorite parts of hiking because while it may not seem productive, it helps me stay connected to my creativity. And honestly, anytime I am struggling with inspiration, it can be the fuel I need to keep going. Creative Challenge: Start a daily sketchbook or journal practice. Here’s how:
Resource Recommendation: Recommended sketchbooks/journals: Consider options like Moleskine sketchbooks, Leuchtturm1917 journals, or any blank book that feels good to you. These can be found at most art supply stores or online. Capturing your ideas in a sketchbook or journal keeps your creativity flowing and helps you build a library of inspiration. Make this practice a part of your daily routine and watch your ideas flourish. Stay wild-hearted and keep documenting your creative journey! Stay wild-hearted! Cheers,
