Hey Wild Hearts, this week, it’s time to focus on establishing a daily creative routine to keep the momentum going.

Actionable Tip: Establish a daily creative routine. Consistency is key to achieving your creative goals. By dedicating a specific time each day to your creative work, you can build a habit that keeps your creativity flowing.

Inspiration Corner: When I first started taking my art seriously, I found it difficult to be consistent with creating a routine, because I just wanted to do what I wanted and when I wanted. But to be honest not a whole lot got done between scrolling social media, napping and lounging around. And I knew that if I wanted to take myself serious, then I needed to have that dedicated time to create and do it consistently.

I do my best brain work in the morning so that is when I do most of the writing and mapping out content. Around 2 o’clock my brain starts to become a bit mush and I switch gears to create art. It has boosted my productivity but it is something I look forward to every day.

You don’t have to do something 8 hours a day to be consistent and productive. You can section your days in whichever way will work for you. Having a tough time getting that sorted? Hit reply and with your struggle and I’ll give you my thoughts.

Creative Challenge: Create and follow a daily creative schedule. Decide on a specific time each day that you can dedicate to your creative pursuits, even if it’s just 15 minutes. For example:

  1. Morning: Spend 15 minutes sketching or brainstorming ideas.
  2. Evening: Dedicate 30 minutes to working on your current project.
  3. Weekend: Allocate a longer block of time to dive deeper into your creative work.

Resource Recommendation: Check out “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. This book offers practical strategies for building good habits and breaking bad ones, which can help you establish and maintain a daily creative routine.

Building a routine takes time and patience. Stick with it, and soon it will become a natural part of your day. Keep creating, stay wild-hearted, and watch your ideas come to life!

Cheers,

Petra Monaco
